How to Get a Tactical Nuke in Call of Duty – Modern Warfare 2

I am going to describe 2 different methods for getting a tactical nuke in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. But first, let’s go over some basic tips and tricks that will get you on the way to launching your first tactical nuke on the enemies.

•Use a sniper rifle or assault rifle with a scope. Use whatever scope fits you and the map the best, but I reccommend ACOG or thermal.
•Have the Harrier Strike, Chopper Gunner/AC130, and Tactical Nuke 25 Kill Streak unlocked before you enter the game. This is the most important part.
•You can choose whatever perks fit you, but you must have the Scavenger Perk or you will have to run out to the battlefield in order to get new weapons.
•Play in Ground War. If you are in a small game the enemies might not respawn (Search and Destroy), or will be less plentiful to kill.
•Get ready to be frustrated. Whether you get killed at 6 kills in a row or 24 kills in row, this will take a long time. A tactical nuke will not just fall in your lap, you have to perservere.

The Chopper Gunner Way
This is my favorite way to get your nuke to win the game. First you must find a really good spot that can be easily defended, hard to find/see, and bulletproof (think concrete walls). Once you rack up 6 kills call out your Harrier

Strike on an enemy infested area. This should get you a couple kills, and through sniping you will get to chopper gunner. Make sure there are no enemies around you and go into prone in a safe place. If you prefer the AC130 you can use that, but I prefer the Chopper Gunner.

Use the Chopper Gunner to destroy the enemy and to get yourself in the 20 kill streak range. Play it safe once you are his far and achieve your tactical nuke through more sniping. Congratulations!

The Hard Way

Repeat the previous way by getting a Harrier Strike and getting a few kills until you get a Pavelow. The pavelow is a powerful weapon but I don’t reccommend replacing it with your chopper gunner/AC130. This might get you to a tactical nuke if you are lucky!

5 Healthy Gaming Tips

While it may be easy to just grab a bag of chips and play video games for a couple hours straight, it is not healthy. There are several steps you can take to change your bad gaming habits in this article.

1. Get Far, Far, Away

Step one is easy, all you have to do is distance yourself from food while gaming. While it seems like you might be eating a small snack, you may be unintentionally more than you think. If the food is not near you while you play, there is less temptation to eat between games.

2. Eye Strain

Ever start playing at 6:00 and when you’re done it’s 3:30 in the morning? Staring at the screen for several hours is bad for your eyes! Take a ten minute break every hour, if not more. This tip is especially helpful if you play with contact lenses.

3. Get Up and Stretch

The stretch is your best way to fight short term atrophy, which is basically trying to stand up after playing for a while and having trouble regaining your balance. When ever you die or are between games, stand up, stretch, and even walk

around the room a few times.

4. Stop Anger in its Tracks

If you feel angry or frustrated it is time to stop playing. Even if you are determined to beat a level, just get a way from the game for a few minutes and just breathe. Don’t take your anger out on other people when you really don’t mean it. You also don’t want to break anything, such as a controller, when you get upset.

5. Some Healthy Snacks

Try some of these healthier snacks before gaming, and you will play better and sharper. Some good foods: almonds, raisins, dried cranberries, trail mix, apple, grapes, or any other fruit or vegetable (that does NOT mean potato chips!). Your body will thank you for the intelligent food choice.

To sum it all up, the best way to stay healthy while gaming is to eat right and take frequent breaks. Thanks for reading!

10 Perk Tips for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

This article is going to give tips and tricks for “perks” in online multiplayer for the xbox 360 version of Modern Warfare 2.

1. Marathon

Marathon lets you have unlimited sprint, good for when you are running while injured from an enemy. Being in constant motion is always a good tactic, but if you are a sniper I would not recommend this for you.

2. Stopping Power

Stopping power is a damage increasing perk and slows down your enemy when you hit them with bullets, making them easier to kill. It is an all around good perk and would recommend it to any player.

3. Commando

Commando extends your knifing melee reach, good for when you are going room to room or have surprise encounters with enemies. I would recommend this to most players that are running around, not snipers.

4. Hardline

Hardline makes kill streak rewards require one less kill. For example, a UAV only needs 2 kills and a predator missile needs 4 kills. Hardline is great if you are a risky player that has a shorter life span.

5. Scavenger

Scavenger refills your ammo when you run over an dead enemy’s weapon, useful in all occasions. This is one of my favorite perks and is really useful for any player.

6. Cold Blooded

Cold Blooded means that you are not seen by enemy UAVs, thermal scopes, air support, or sentry guns. This is incredibly useful in some cases but not that great in others. While everyone is inside waiting for the harrier strike to be over you can run out and shoot down the harrier, getting extra points.

7. Bling

Bling lets you have two weapon attachments. For example, if you are using the Scar-H, you can have a silencer and a red dot scope (assuming you have both unlocked). Very useful if you have a primary weapon you are particularly fond of.

8. Sleight of Hand

Sleight of hand is awesome for when you are in a battle with an enemy and you both need to reload. However, this problem doesn’t happen too often.

2 Death Streaks

9. Copycat

Copycat lets you steal your enemies class, even if you don’t have their weapons unlocked. This is an alright perk, but definitely not my favorite.

10. Painkiller

Painkiller gives you a 10 second health boost right after you spawn. The only problem with the perk is that you sometimes spawn too far from the action.

Written by Impure King of Green Light Gamer

Presentation

Army of Two: TFD’s presentation reminds me of a dinner at the Outback Steakhouse. It’s leaves a good taste in your mouth and you walk away very satisfied but you won’t go calling all of your friends to let them know about the meal as it isn’t something so grand as to make you tell the tale of its grandeur.
The two main characters both sport incredibly life-like facial expressions and their armament has noticeable detail down to every latch on their equipped gear. However, as mentioned in our demo impression, they do have a bit of a ken doll plastic look about them which slightly detracts from their overall impressiveness of their design.
The NPC’s don’t seem to vary in any way with only the special enemies (gatling gunner/flamethrower, etc) having any significant aesthetic variables.
Lastly, the environment designs are simply enthralling, ranging from an enemy ridden mall to a flaming office building, all which help convey the feeling of chaos that the developers intended.

8/10

Story

In Shanghai, two soldiers for hire (Rios and Salem) are stuck in a catastrophic war zone and must fight their way out. Apparently this is from the 40th day initiative, which is when a renegade militant force starts causing utter chaos in Shanghai.
The story is barely existent and told to you while in combat, so odds are you will (like I did) miss the few details shared about the basic plot in AoT TFD.
Now, I do have to mention the kick ass moral choice scenarios. Littered throughout the story are certain situations where you, the player, will have to make a choice between two available decisions, one moral and one immoral. The outcome of your choice isn’t by any means obvious and you will definitely be surprised by the backlash of your decision is. Sadly, there isn’t a tremendous amount of depth to these but they do give a few nice water cooler discussions. And the last moral choice will honestly make you think in a way you would have never expected. It dropped my jaw wide open.

5.5/10

Gameplay

AoT: TFD has three basic modes of play, which are the main campaign, extraction mode, and the Online MP Vs. modes.
- Campaign
Although very short in length (I’d say between 4-7 hours, depending on difficulty level) this is an incredible campaign that is one massive series of intense firefights. You rarely find yourself slogging through needless terrain or being forced to backtrack as you find in many other shooters out there. You and a buddy (local or online) will depend on each other for survival, as you can get attacked from multiple points of entry making coördination a key factor. The controls are solid, with the only sour point being a small bit of robotic movement. Outside of this, it’s a kick ass mode.
Oh, and the weapons customization available is deep and varied, making every weapon made truly feel like its own. You can make the perfect weapon for your own personal play style.
- Extraction
This is a simple “horde” mode for the AoT universe. Four players team up (online co-op) to take on waves of enemy forces across different areas on four different maps. Simple good fun. However, it’s sad to see all the weapons earned in the campaign aren’t brought into this game type.
- Online MP
I can’t excuse this train wreck called online multiplayer. The crippling lag and often dropped matches will make the few basic modes (which are fun, when they are functional) nearly unplayable and many of your games won’t count because you dropped out too soon due to some random online issue. And considering the highest amount of players I have seen playing this game was around 4k, I don’t see what the problem is.

Achievements

This is a great game for achievements. Around 800/1000 of the gamerscore is on the campaign and the online achievements don’t carry the same kind of insane time required as was in the original.

8/10

Overall

As an AoT fan, I can not tell you how much I am loving this game in spite of its flaws (horrid online servers and no customized weapons in extraction). thanks to sweet weapons customization, a fun campaign, and an overall great co-op experience.
However, due to there being such a short campaign mode, the replay value is minimal for anyone outside of the AoT faithful. You will only play so much extraction with the generic weapons provided and the online quality is below the mark of terrible.

7.25/10

Recommendation: Rent

Playing on xbox live can be tough when it seems that everyone else in on level 70, but here are 5 tips and tricks that will help you rise in rank.
1. Scoping out the Scopes
All of the primary weapons have scopes that you can unlock after you get enough kills or headshots. The red dot scope is simple, just a red dot that makes shooting your target easier. The holographic scope is basically a more accurate red dot scope. The ACOG scope is the most accurate and will take a while to unlock.

2. Challenges are Your Friend
The easiest way to level up when you begin is to beat the challenges. For example, there is a fall 15 feet and survive challenge that you can get points for on almost any map. Don’t be afraid to switch out weapons in order to get the easy challenges that come with them, you can get challenges for usually getting 10 kills with the weapon, easy points.

3. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Remember that you when you crouch with the riot shield it covers your whole body, so feel free to charge the enemy while crouched. When you get close enough to them you can bash them with your shield by pressing right stick down. Also if you are crouched with your secondary out the shield will protect your back like a turtle shell.

4. C-C-C-Commando

Commando can be the most frustrating perk when it is used against you, which is why you should have it. The ability to have greater melee distance will save your life dozens of times when you get in close quarters and will pay off in the end. A good combo is to have the commando, marathon, and lightweight perks all on at the same time.

5. Fresh Batteries
The most devastating way to lose a match is by your controller dying right at the end. I always keep fresh batteries right by my TV in case my controllers batteries run out. This doesn’t apply to you if you have a wired controller.

6. Get a Mic
Communication is the line between winning and listening. Help your team by pointing out enemy team snipers and other critical information. Yes, you will have to deal with people you find annoying, but the pros outweigh the cons.

Written by Impure King of Green Light Gamer

Graphics

Halo is easily the biggest exclusive franchise in the world today and with that being said, I am a little disappointed with the visual quality found in ODST. This is barely superior to Halo 3 which released several years ago, with character models looking crude in regards to their facial details and expressions compared to most titles on the market today. Also, all of the enemies appear to be simply copy and pasted into the game with no added sprucing up on their armament, weapons, etc. In its defense though, the VISR mode (basically night vision) is beyond badass as enemies are outlined in red with the environment in yellow. It makes night ops a blast to play and it adds a level of tactics to your approach as you can try and stalk/set up your prey due to this enhanced visual option. All in all its a solid looking title but due to the lack of advancement from the last in the series, it could have, nay, should have been MUCH better.

6/10

Story

You play as the ODST (orbital drop shock troopers) of the USNC. You are sent in on a near suicide mission onto new mombasa as the covenant (evil coalition of alien soldiers) are ravaging the land. You are human, your are strong yet you are mortal, you are hope, you are the ODST. This “mortal” approach (compared to being an almighty spartan from the main Halo series) is a great sidestory for the series as you feel the vulnerability of the average soldier from the battle with the covenant. This gave bungie the freedom to have a new epic story involving a tight cast of soldiers and an odd romantic struggle in the midst of war. Sadly, the voice actors definitely overdid their performances and most of the lines feel forced as it lacks a natural flow for the comedic or drama filled dialogue to take shape in. All in all it is a nice fresh scenario within a well known world albeit with some less than expertly performed scripting.

6.5/10

Gameplay

Without a doubt this is still halo but with some key tweaks in place. First off, you do NOT have to fight all the enemies you come across. For the streets of mombasa missions, you can try to avoid/out route your enemies and make it to the next level without having to fire a single round. This adds a level of freedom I much enjoyed, although rarely used as I found shooting to be more entertaining personally. Second, you do NOT regenerate health. You need to find health packs spread across key points in the streets (or levels) you play in. This makes teamwork, accurate shooting, and overall battle tactics a priority which adds a great bit of attention to detail in the gunplay. Lastly, there are NO spartans. You are ODST, human soldiers, so youre not quite as agile and dont jump ludicrously high. Outside of that, the core halo experience is in tact with a wide variety of well known weapons in tow to cause all kinds of chaos.
The core campaign experience has you going through the town of mombasa and finding remnants of your other squad members, which will bring a “flashback” (level) to be played out showing what happened. Once out of it, you proceed to the next one. Repeat 6 times and end with two concluding chapters. Even in a small dose, this felt repetitive and shallow while it really didnt feel like it was worth the 60 dollar “drop”. But they did add a new mode of gameplay.
Now, the new mode that comes with it is called firefight. Think gears of war 2’s horde mode with one less player and much more demanding performance. You pool lives as a group and earn more ONLY after the end of each wave. This means you are punished for playing with a new or less skilled player and is a major upset for team morale. Also, you can NOT search for friends in a lobby, you can only invite them off a friends list. That is unsatisfactory in everyway and I hope that gets focused on quickly. Heaven forbid your friends move on to a new game now you are left to search the net for people to play with vice a matchmaking setup. With those two massive negatives being stated, once you have a full squad to rock it out, it is an utter delight. The fast paced action that is had as four players have to down vehicles, down waves upon waves of enemies, manage ammo of fallen fiends, etc is beyond the definition of fun.

*EDIT* *EDIT* *EDIT* (10/05/09)

This game includes the Halo 3 MP experience, all 24 bonus maps, and allows you to gain achievements towards your Halo3 gamerscore. This is a phenominal value and adds a huge dynamic to anyone who didn’t play Halo 3. However, I do believe most who bought ODST already own/have played Halo 3. But this is a great value nonetheless as you can play the campaign of odst, firefight, and go into competeitive matchmaking in Halo 3 is a great package for newcomers.

*EDIT* *EDIT* * EDIT* (10/05/09)

7.5/10

Achievements

This is a very easy to game to rack up points in but definitely hard to max thanks to the vid master challenge achievements.

8/10

Overall

This is a mixed bag. The campaign has a fresh angle but the performances set to carry it out fall short of the bungie standard. Also, it can be completed in 4-8 hours depending on the number of players and difficulty set. Firefight is awesome but has some very critical requirements to be enjoyed to its fullest. This isnt an eyesore but it was due a much better standard of aesthetics. In the end, I can’t say you need to drop a full retail price for this game. Rent it, get some kicks out of it, and move on.

*EDIT* *EDIT* * EDIT* (10/05/09)

In adding the Halo 3 MP experience, anyone who DOESNT own or hasn’t played Halo 3 to death should definitly buy the game as the overall value of this package is amazing. However, if you own Halo3 or played it to the point of boredom then I would have to stick with a rental recommendation.

7.25/10

Recommendation:
Rental (if you own/played Halo 3)
Purchase (if you never owned/played Halo 3)

Presentation

The graphics in L4D2 are somewhat disappointing, at least in some regards. First off, the title looks all too similar to the original L4D, which was an underwhelming title in terms of its visual quality. Secondly, the environments look flat and grainy while the character models are simply unappealing. Lastly, the returning special infected (zombies) show a major lack of progress as you can’t, in any way, spot a difference between their appearance in this title and the original.

Happily, I can report that there are some positive points to make a note of. The level designs themselves (regardless of the quality in which they were implemented) are very diverse in regards to concepts and color palettes used, so that is a major plus. Also, the combat effects are spot on, such as the sound and look of slashing a zombie with a katana being nearly immaculate. The gore and destruction is shown well with different parts of zombies being torn off, slashed apart, or blown off with accuracy in terms of place of impact and the visual effects of the injury.

In regards to music, there isn’t really much of it. You have some piano cues which signal the presence of special infected along with a few cryptic scores to accompany certain firefights. It works, but doesn’t go much beyond the score of satisfactory.

5.5/10

Story

You’re one of four unlucky survivors who must fight their way past hordes of zombies to sweet and beautiful freedom. Once again, the narrative in L4D2 is by no means deep or rewarding as it is virtually non-existant.

On a positive end, the mid-battle commentary is fairly entertaining although nothing to really pay excessive attention to. This includes, to a small degree, stories being told about memories of the survivors past as well as their reactions to the situation at hand.

Overall, I don’t think the developers cared too much about the story and neither will you.

2.5/10

Gameplay

This is a first person shooter which followed in the same footsteps as its predecessor and didn’t choose to deviate from the basic gameplay formula in any significant way.

You have to shoot your way past hordes of zombies and make it to some kind of evacuation point, albeit signaling a chopper, making it to a boat so you can sail away or fueling a car to drive away from the ensuing madness.
Basically, the game goes like this: you see zombies, you point, you shoot, you kill. This game doesn’t deliver anything new to the genre and most certainly provides no revolutionary aspects to fans of the series.

That last statement, however, isn’t necessarily a negative one. The gameplay is as deliciously fun and intense as the original L4D with some worthwhile additions (although none are major ones). You still will have to be aware of your surroundings, will still need to play as a team to win, and you will still get to mow down wave after wave of aggressive zombies and feel a true will to survive. Sadly though, this game does suffer if you play it by yourself as the core experience is built around a team effort, on the concept of people fighting on a united front.

Now, to address additions to Left4Dead2. The amount of zombies that come at you seems to have increased so you will find yourself shooting and sweating bullets as you try to fend off impressive waves of hungry zombies. Also, the special infected are more intelligent and will truly fight as a team. One example is when common zombies are swarming you to slow you down so a charger can slam into your party and grab a survivor to smash and crush over and over. Or when a jockey will take you over and bring you right into a pile of dangerous vomit from the mouth of a spitter (or in some cases, simply walk you off a building and to your death). This adds to the significance of tackling the special infected quickly and with a true sense of urgency.

Oh, and I can’t forget to talk about the weaponry. Not only do you have a larger arsenal of firearms (I saw at least 8 truly different types of guns to use) but now you have melee weapons. When I played the demo, I was afraid they would be simply for show and they wouldnt play differently from the others. I was somewhat mistaken. The chainsaw (a limited use weapon) tears apart your foes but is very loud and somewhat clumsy to wield. The nightstick is quick and damaging, but has a small range. The katana is fast and lethal with a solid range of damage. They play out to some degree of variance and can help clear out a swarming pile of zombies effectively.

As for the online MP, the basic modes are back in tow with a new scavenge mode thrown in. This pits a team of survivors against an army of zombies in a race to collect fuel cans. This seems as a bit of a novelty and not that different from the basic versus experience (which has survivors trying to make it to safe rooms while the infected try to stop them) but is an honest attempt to try and diversify its online experience.

In a nutshell, take the original, add more weapons and zombies, spice up the environments and sell it as a new game. It may not be a new experience but it definitely is a fun time.

8.5/10

Achievements

If you are hoping to get some good points added to your gamerscore, you will have to depend on others to get you there (but it won’t be that difficult for those not flying solo).

The A.I. allies will zealously deny you from most, if not all, of the very specifically detailed achievements (such as melee killing a tank or sneaking past a vast number of witches). Also, due to the presence of online achievements, you would be easier off getting a party together to boost them vice earn them, as some of them are very situation dependent (such as charing into four survivors at once) and can be somewhat hard to achieve. I am already at 500+ points in a few days and am not the most skilled player out there by any means but without the aid of allies, I don’t see how some of these are even feasible, yet alone possible.

8/10 (if you have friends on live/make friends on live)
3.5/10 (if you fly solo)

Overall

For those gamers looking for a brand new and startling experience like the original L4D, prepare to be disappointed. The core experience is a carbon copy replica of the original title and the graphics are lacking in comparison to other high-profile shooters on the market. Also, if you play by yourself you will have a hard time offline and on.

However, if you have consistent friends on Live and want more of the same thrilling gameplay alongside new weapons and locales, you simply can’t go wrong with Left4Dead2. It’s an exciting title which will test the teams tactics and gunplay at virtually every turn.

8.25/10

Recommendation:
Rent – (If you play by yourself and won’t make friends online)
Purchase – (If you enjoy co-op games and don’t mind being a bit social)

Graphics

Most superhero games tend to overlook the visual stylings of their perspective title in favor of focusing on fan service in regards to the gameplay. Batman: AA not only embraces the visual concepts of what gotham city’s infamous asylum should look like but also shatters any expectations that a batman game could ever have. You can’t help but be consumed by the dark harrowing halls of the asylum which truly engulf you into the chaos that is the dark knights situation. The environments are superbly detailed and all of the different areas of the island truly do stand out from one another. Add in quality cut-scenes that rival the best in the business and you have one of the best looking games ever made.

10/10

Story

The maniacal Joker has been detained and brought to the prominent prison to serve his time. However, it all was a clever ruse to get back into the asylum and now Batman is the prisoner as he is locked in amongst a sea of criminals and “super-criminals”. Although this is a basic concept for a story involving the dark knight, it is implemented so well that it still prospers. Between the jokers constant taunting (of batman as well as his own cronies) over the P.A. system and the constant traps/re-routing of the islands’ regions, you truly feel the joker’s control over the asylum. Also, the dialogue is impressive as each character’s quirky personalities are on full display but not in an overboard manner. Harley’s perkiness, the croc’s brutality, the terrifying scarecrow, all of these super-villains feel alive. This is a surprisingly gripping experience.

9/10

Gameplay

You can truly feel the effort Rocksteady has put into this area between some interesting mechanics, a visually impressive battle system along with a slew of entertaining collectibles to be found that actually enhance (and not detract) from the experience. The game is 50 percent combat and 50 percent exploration (The main campaign) and both are done fairly well, although I have some gripes with the combat engine. Also, they have challenge modes to play for the love of the game, 8 of them focusing on hand to hand combat and 8 focusing on the stealth end of the arena.
In regards to the combat, you can try to punch your way to fame but will only be dropped in shame. To truly thrive in the combat, you have to master the multiple offensive options at your disposal, including your counter attacks, stun cape, batarangs, and other toys you have on your person. This forces the player to be actively engaged in combat and prevents this from falling into the button masher category which is a phenomenal move. However, due to the fanciness put into the battle animations, you will find times that you press the counter button at the right time, only to be hit anyways which can be a frustrating for those trying to rack up points (which goes to much wanted/needed upgrades). Lastly, the approach to combat will vary greatly. Sometimes you have to fly in from the ceiling’s gargoyles. Other times you have to knock one down, go around, and then attack from behind. Sometimes you will have to run straight into battle. The variety of engagements and how you come across them is masterful.
As for the exploration, you will (early on) feel very limited as you seem to be able to explore nowhere that you see. That isn’t due to laziness on the dev’s part, its due to the fact you haven’t acquired the right gear. As the game progresses you come across different tools that open up the island and allow you to explore it to your hearts content. The variety of tools (from explosives to bat claw) are fun to use and will have you thinking about how to try and reach that hidden section. Sadly though, the first hour or so feels confining as you seem to go through an absurd amount of vents to get where you need to go. I understand why they put that in the game but it doesn’t make those sections any less boring.
Oh, and as for those 240 collectibles…many of them are actually fun to find and do reward the player with extra insight on the founder of arkham asylum in addition to the many super villains of batman. This is a great motivation to pick them up but the player is never forced to in order to progress.

8.5/10

Achievements

This game has a nice set up of story based chievos for those looking for GS but also has some very challenging ones and time consuming ones (in regards to collectibles and challenges) so it by no means is a “whore game”

7.5/10

Overall

You own a 360, you should own this game. As simple as that. Luscious graphics, tight gameplay, witty dialogue, well portrayed characters, this is a collage of great gaming elements that earns this game the title of “best superhero game” ever made.

9.25/10

Recommendation: Purchase

10 Tips For Surviving in Left 4 Dead 2
So do you want to live through the zombie apocalypse? Here are 10 killer tips and tricks for playing as the human survivors in Left 4 Dead 2.

1. Pick the Right Weapon for the Right Level
This one seems obvious but many people seem to miss the concept. You cannot survive if you take a sniper rifle into a close quarters combat or dual pistols in a swamp level. Always be thinking about the level ahead in the safe room, making sure that you pick the right weapon.

2. Don’t just charge out of the Safe Room
The safe room is there for a reason. You can sit by the door and slowly pick off zombies, making the beginning easier without taking any risk. You have an infinity supply of ammo in the safe room and need to use it for your gain.

3. Witches are no Good, but can be beaten
Everyone hates to hear that crying witch, and the best method is to stay away with your flashlights off. Sometimes the cruel game designers put the witch in middle of the only path, making confrontation the only method of getting to the next safe room, but there is one option. If you have the katana you can behead the witch without her knocking you down. Just make sure you sneak up from be hind and aim for the head!

4. I like my Tanks Char-Grilled
An easy way to give tanks lots of damage is to light them on fire. You can either throw a Molotov cocktail at a tank or the tanks path, or you can shoot a gas can lighting the tank on fire. This does tremendous damage to the tank and is a must on the harder difficulties.

5. Boomer Bile Strategy
The boomer bile is a throw-able item that attracts the horde. This is great for when you are getting swarmed or when a teammate is down and you need to heal them. Also the swarm will not pay attention to you so you can just spray bullets into the green mist knowing that you will kill many, many zombies.

6. Use the Right Melee Weapon
If you choose to have a melee weapon (which I recommend) you need to pick the right one. While I think the frying pan is fun to use, I will always take the hatchet because they have the same range but the hatchet is better. While I like slamming zombies with a guitar, I know the Axe is better as a long reach melee. I rarely use the chainsaw because it runs out after a minute or two and then is useless.

7. Melee works for Special Infected
Part of what makes L4D2 brilliant is the special infected, but they can be difficult to kill and annoying. Often the best way to get an infected away/off is to melee them. When a hunter pounces your teammate melee them off, melee boomers off so they don’t puke on you, melee smokers or the person being restricted, get the pattern?

8. Computer players are Worthless in the end
The computer players are decent but are not worth risking your life for. If you are in the safe room that is all that matters. It is a bad idea to leave the safe room to help the computer players, even if they are just outside (Of course I wouldn’t leave a person behind in real life but in L4D2 save yourself).

9. Everyone loves Fireworks
In the final level of Dark Carnival you have to defend the stage from the hordes of zombies until a helicopter picks you up. If you are in the center of the stage you will notice that the stands has an indent where there is a box of fireworks. Place the fireworks near the stage stairs and light them when the horde come.

10. Adrenalin over Pain Pills
In my opinion adrenalin is more effective then pain pills, even though adrenalin gives you 25 less health boost. It also speeds up a lot of actions, such as healing yourself or other teammates, running, and reloading. Make the decision for yourself, but I recommend the adrenalin.
